This October, Minky Couture is bringing its signature softness to SoHo for a three-day immersive pop-up, designed to wrap New York in a little more comfort. Visitors can explore the space, shop Minky Couture, sip on Swig, enter giveaways, and discover the brand firsthand.
For 17 years, Minky Couture has been building a world around softness. What began in Utah in 2009 has grown from a local favorite into a brand that helped define the blanket category. Through it all, the vision has remained simple: blanket the world.
Now, Minky is taking that idea literally, bringing a little more comfort to New York City.
And Minky isn’t coming alone. Swig and its famous dirty sodas are hitting the streets too.
For three days, the Utah-born dirty soda phenomenon will make a New York appearance exclusively at the Minky Couture pop-up, serving a custom drink menu while guests shop and explore the space.

Founded in 2009 by former elementary school teacher Sandi Hendry, Minky Couture began with one handmade blanket created for her hospitalized daughter and has grown into a nationally recognized luxury brand. As the original luxury minky blanket company, Minky Couture has sold more than 8 million blankets over the past 17 years and built a community of more than 1 million Instagram followers.
Minky Couture is 100% woman-owned, with many of its signature blankets individually sewn by talented Utah women working from their homes. This family-friendly model gives local mothers the opportunity to provide for their families while mastering their professional skills and reflects the company’s belief that women working together locally to provide luxury and comfort is more than manufacturing a product — it is a way of achieving community.
Giving back remains central to Minky Couture’s mission to “Blanket the World”. Through Heart of Minky, every adult blanket purchased helps provide a Mini Minky blanket to a NICU baby, with more than 6,000 Mini blankets donated each month through hospital partnerships nationwide.
